We will continue to provide regular updates on COVID-19 through the City website ( www.lynnma.gov ), social media, and the Smart 911 emergency notification system (sign up at www.smart911.com ). Please see the list of essential services that are being provided remotely by the following departments. City Clerk: - The City Clerk’s Office is available by phone during normal Business hours to answer questions and process requests. Our office is taking/processing requests for birth, death,marriage certificates and mailing them out the same day. - Many of the licenses and permits issued by the Clerk’s office require prior approval from Inspectional Services and /or the City Council. In those cases we will process once they have been completed the approval process. - Residents can reach us at (781) 586-6742 or email us: jrowe@lynnma.gov Veteran’s: The Veteran’s office continues to provide the following: - Financial assistance to veterans and their families, known as Ch 115 - Assistance with VA Claims - Assistance navigating VA Health Care Anyone calling Veterans Services can be assured to reach a person at (781) 586-6911 or by emailing us . DPW: The Lynn Public Works office is currently closed to the public and the staff is working remotely.The Department continues to provide the following essential services: - Maintenance of City emergency vehicles and equipment, - Burials at Pine Grove Cemetery - Trash removal from the City’s parks - Street sweeping service on a limited basis. - Trash and recycling complaints are being handled remotely, the best way to notify us of issues is through the “Report Trash/Recycle Issue” link on the DPW portion of the City website . - Missed Trash Pickups - (781) 477-7099 -Solid Waste Collection payments can only be made by check/money order at the present time due to the office being closed. There is presently no online option. You can make them payable to the City of Lynn. Mail them to the Collector’s Office, 3 City Hall, Square, Lynn, MA 01901.
